PerliShade lays a warm, gentle layer over your screen so reading late at night stops feeling like staring into a torch. Set the warmth, drop the brightness below what your phone's own slider allows, and let it come on by itself at sunset.

Everything happens on the device. No account is needed, nothing is uploaded, and the filter works with no network at all. If you want your presets and schedule on your phone and your desktop, you can sign in — that is off until you ask for it.

The filter: warmth, strength and extra dim

What it does

Warms the whole display — 1000 to 6500 K, with a strength dial and an extra dim that goes below the panel's own minimum
Presets for every hour: Reading, Evening, Night, Candle, Red alert and Sepia — or save your own
Turns itself on at sunset and off at sunrise, or on the hours you choose, fading in and out so you never catch it changing
20-20-20 break reminders: every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds — snoozable, and quiet while you are full-screen
Lives in the tray on Linux and behind a quick-settings tile on Android, and is always one tap from off
